We’re going to explain you how to change the front foot on your washer. It’s a really easy job; all We’re going to need is a pair of website lock pliers, and a 9/16ths wrench. Let me explain you how we do it.
Now the first step in this repair will be to pull the washer from enough away from the wall so that you can tilt it back, if you have the option to pull it far enough forward and actually lean it against the wall so that it supports itself. If not take some wooden blocks and lower it back down onto those to support the weight. Now the leveling foot has a jam nut or lock nut that you’ll need to release with you 9/16ths wrench.
Then simply unthread the leg. Now once you’ve removed the old leg we will need to take the jam nut or lock nut off of that so with a pair of website locks grasp the foot of that leg and loosen that jam nut. Now install that jam nut on the new leg, thread it all the way on.
And then we’ll locate the hole and install the new leg.
Now thread it approximately the same distance as the opposing leg. Now we’ll tilt the washer back again, remove our blocking, push the washer into position, and then we want to level it across the front as long as the weight is sitting firmly on both front legs, and level that up. Now we can level it with our website locks, just grasp the lower portion of the leg and turn clockwise or counterclockwise as required.
Once we have it level we’ll take our 9/16ths wrench and then we’ll tighten that jam nut up against the base of the machine and that’ll lock it in place. And our repair is complete. Told you it was an easy job.
Thanks for reading, and good luck with your repair.
